Curatorial Internships

The Blanton Museum of Art

The majority of the IFPDA Summer Intern’s time will be spent handling objects in the collection. Holly Borham, assistant curator of prints and drawings, will provide training on proper object handling and detailed cataloguing procedures with a focus on identifying print processes and noting condition. The intern will also have the opportunity to shadow the
Blanton’s photographer and gain expertise in object photography. The intern will have access to the print storage room and will systematically go through the Solander boxes to locate works that need to be photographed and catalogued. Through this responsibility, the intern will gain confidence in identifying print processes, watermarks, collector’s marks, and condition issues across a wide range of print history.
